Marco van Basten took him to Heerenveen. He has become a crowd favourite in England.
Rajiv Van La Parra is part of a unique class of Feyenoord educated footballers. Rajiv was scouted at a young age by several international clubs. Despite interest from bigger clubs in Europe, Rajiv opted for Caen in France. He made this choice because he thought it was more likely to break in to the first team. After years of experience in France, Rajiv evolved as a footballer and as a person. In 2011, Marco van Basten took Rajiv with him to SC Heerenveen. With his strong play he managed to force a transfer to Wolverhampton Wanderers where he has become a crowd favourite.
